Yagé (Ayahuasca)

Yagè, the sacred brew containing banisteriopsis caapi, comes to us from the sacred Putumayo Region located in the northernmost part of the Amazon in Colombia. This region, and many of the people there, including the Siona tribe, are known for their spiritual and traditional plant medicine lineages and traditions that have been passed down through many generations.

Paulo has studied with the Sionas for many years and was blessed by the Elders to serve this medicine to the North to fulfill the Eagle Condor Prophecy.

The Eagle Condor Prophecy unifies the North and South, symbolizing the balance of the mind (Eagle) and the heart (Condor). This prophecy connects us to our own inner healing, awakening, and reconnection with nature and spirit, which then unfolds into our communities and worldwide. The Eagle Condor prophecy represents harmony, balance, and peace for all.

A traditional Yagé ceremony is held overnight, as sitting in the darkness allows us to access deep aspects of our inner being that may be revealed for healing. Through the darkness, we learn to find the light, and to shine that light into those aspects, transmuting and transforming ourselves.

Throughout the night, healing frequencies like icaros are shared, as well as the songs of the harmonica, and periods of silence and quiet.

As dawn approaches and the morning light comes, we celebrate our discoveries, where we find ourselves to be reborn to a new day. We celebrate our lives with song and dance, and have time of reflection and reconnection, both individually and with one another.

The lessons of the yagé ceremony are meant to be integrated into daily life, embodying awareness and healing within all aspects of life.

We give thanks to our Elders who have carried the yagé traditions for many generations, and for the blessing given to us to share this tradition with those who are seeking it.
